And what do you know, this bottle is not oxidized and is delightful! Toast and yellow fruits and crushed stones in the aromatics, with a medium-light bodied palate of creamy lemon and grippy minerality before issuing in a long, stone-inflected finish. This is what you age 'em for; glad to get one before the premox did.

This bottle was showing some signs of oxidation, walnut skin and sherried fruits. Not so much as to make the wine unpleasant to drink, but enough to obscure any sense of place. Drink up.

Bright burnished gold - still super clean. Beautifully fresh mineral with fine oak and soft yellow fruits - no premox here - full of vitality. Palate has a touch of honey and a salty note. Beautiful balance and perfect current drinking.

My last of six bottles, and the best. Just passing from pre-adolescence to young adulthood: poised, tangy, fresh with just the beginning of depth. Bize makes wine for the ages. This wine could continue to develop for many years yet, imho.

No premox on this bottle. A touch of pungency to the minerality of the aromatics here. The palate has certainly relaxed since release, with some earthiness to complement the brisk, focused citrus fruit. The clarity of character is quite clear here, and I can only hope subsequent bottles will show as well as they continue to develop.

Smoking, delicious. Bit of wet wool, bit of peach; medium-bodied, tangy, savory white Burgundy, balanced and very classy. I would guess its best years still lie ahead, but it's no shame to drink one now. One sip leads to the next.
Showing best on the third night, fully sour and mature. A shame to drink these early.

nice example from Bize (RIP). nose shows some green apple, raw almond, and oak character. Palate is well balanced with plenty of acid to hold up to the restrained oak. minerality shows through with honeyed green apple. med (+) finish. A nice wine with plenty of life left.

This is really good. This round is rich yet with structure on the palate, with freshness from minerality and acidity, and great balance. This is drinking great now, and was a great purchase. Mr. Bize does it again!!

Consistent with my note last year. Lovely, suave, round, tangy hillside white Burgundy. Decent minerality, slightly rich, oily texture, nice intensity. Very nice to drink now, but leftovers the second day were brilliantly funky, in the good chardonnay funky sense: broad, woolly, tangy, almost acrid, so I see no reason to hurry. Very good wine.

Very nice, pure, with wet wool savor, fine minerality and precise acidity. Well balanced, weighing in at 13.5 abv, which belies the sensation of lightness and finesse it conveys while drinking. This bottle percolated down our gullets like precipitation from a summer shower into desert sand - the bottle was empty before we knew it. Will be interesting to see if this wine takes on weight and complexity as it continues to age. So far, I'm a fan of the Bize whites.

This was like a coiled up energy ball of a white burgundy. Fantastic concentration of lemony fruit and taught acidity, all bound up in embryonic state. Quite different expression than the Puligny-Chassagne-Meursault axis. Very exciting to drink right now, but this has a marvelous future ahead of it. Be sure to give it plenty of air and let it warm up if you open one now. Drunk alongside the 2006, which showed few similarities, to my palate.

OK, infanticide, but totally delicious. Full and floral, citrus and pear fruit over a solid base of earth. Long finish. With time some notes of hazelnut and toast, this has excellent acidity and is pure and delightful. A-
