I like the Arcadian Sleepy Hollow just a bit more. But, this was delightful. Lemon for the citrus, crisp apple for fruit and fine acid. I think there was more vanilla/oak than on the SH. Opened up nicely as the evening wore on. I had this with porcini filled pasta pockets with a light cream sauce. Paired beautifully.

A little big and blowzy for an Arcadian on its own, but a perfect pairing for scallops seared in butter. Really shows off the minerally core against the richness of the dish. Yum. (But not as a cocktail wine)

Really enjoyed this wine at their tasting room. Quite rich, but w/ nice minerality. Very Burg-like. Was one of the highlights of our afternoon of tasting in the Lompoc wine ghetto.

Medium-full bodied. Somewhat underbrushy and oaky on the palate; buttery; smooth, not alcoholic; minerality is there, but not as pronounced as it is in the Sleepy Hollow chards.

First tried at Tastes of the Valleys in Solvang. It blew me away (but don't they always in the tasting room?). Popped this baby in Santa Barbara a couple days later and it didn't fail to deliver though I picked up more oak this time. Butter, minerality, fruit -- there's a lot here. I'm going to age for another year or two and see what that does. I'd like to see it slim down a little.

opened for 3 hours. Citrus and butter on the nose with a touch of heat and lemongrass. Opulent and big bodied with some oak and intense lemon flavors. Nice zesty acidity on the finish of lemon rinds and granny smith apples. A bit bigger than I expect from Arcadian after the glorious 05 Sleepy Hollow.. but I think this is more a product of the vineyard and its natural ripeness.

Darkish golden colored. I found this to be very oaky/buttery, verging on buttered popcorn. Very big. Not my thing when it comes to chardonnay.

Citrus, nuts, toast, a bit oxidative on the nose. Rich lemon, a bit of ripe citrus sweetness, slight nutty character. Very nice.

This initially seemed over the hill, but it took on weight and body with some air. Drink the other bottle before 2014, but give some air.

This is the wine I remember tasting in Solvang. Outstanding Chard. Lean, focused fruit that means business. Loved this wine.
