The nose is very spicy, with lots of dried fruit and garrigue. Later, tobacco and smoky aomas emerge. The palate is well balanced. Tannins are well integrated and the finish is medium in length. Alcohol is 14.5% according to the label but it does not feel. Drinn now

In the bouquet beautifully ripe red and dark berries. Same on the palate, cherries as well. Good acidity. Tasty wine and the alcohol shows a bit. The wine develops quite quickly in the glass.

Wines of the Languedoc under $40: I was surprised as to the price on this. Apparently purchased recently "on sale" for $35. Wine-Searcher shows it available in France for $90. Purple/maroon in color. The nose is gamey, a bit over the hill with some green notes and also some red raspberries. Not bad. On the palate, this is nice. While some commented on its complexities, I found it one dimensional and past prime. Drinkable and enjoyable, but nothing special. It faded in the glass.

Really youthful fruit. Bright red and black, floral, meaty syrah notes. Lots of dried rose and violet on the palate. Quite tannic on the finish with lots of potential. Delicious with surprising weight.

Dark colour. Big nose with a gaminess, earth and preserved fruits. Big body with plenty of soft tannins and a very nice grip. Lot of fruit, but plenty of undertones of cured meat and loam. Some licquer and herbals on the finish which was long. Great interplay of textures as well. Very well-balanced and delightful.
