After two hours of decanting, sweetness on the nose, peaches, honeysuckle, lemon custard. Very nice mouth feel on the attack, but finishes acidic with a good bit of heat, floral, lemon and orange peel.

Lemon yellow with a touch of green. Fragrant with clean peach and mango aromas. Fresh and lively with soft lime, a dominant lychee flavour and good minerality. Unfortunately the big hit of alcohol at the back of the throat is a bit overbearing.

Great value at $8-9 range. Citrus and floral nose follow through on the palate with floral dominating the fruit and a hint of soap. Nice dry finish. This wine is one of our favorites for asian dishes, but may also go well with lighter mediterrainian seafood or poultry.

Label: Torrontes has unique expression in Argentina and has often been called the country's signature white varietal. Alamos Torrontes captures all of the explosive aromatic character of this Argentine grape, with lively notes of citrus and peach fruit interwoven with delicate layers of jasmine blossom and fresh herbs. The wine is light and fresh on the palate with excellent balance and finishing with bright, crisp acidity.
Review: Watery yellow color. I get aromas of Peach, Orange Peel and Honeysuckle, subtle Lime with a hint of Ivory Soap and Crushed Rock. Flavors of Peach, Honeysuckle and Citrus on the palate, which also linger on the finish. Crisp acidity pairs well with Pork Shoulder.

Like sticking my nose in a bucket of freshly peeled lychee. Taste: super floral (jasmine) and lychee at the back end. Dry, and the back end is a little too bitter. It is like drinking a cold lychee + jasmine infused green tea beverage and I kind of like it. Hate the ending but love the unique flavour profile.

Very good wine. Did not have too many Torrontes, actually it might have been my first one and I liked it. Reminds of Gewurzt. Floral, citrus, dry with plenty of acidity, medium body, crisp with medium citrus finish. Matched very well medium spicy fish dinner.

At home, with Deb, Maddi and Matt. Somewhat overblown, a bit too bright. I like the limes at the core, but otherwise, it's a bit too big, a bit too bright, and as Deb notes, a bit too floral.

Citrus (lemon/lime/orange) nose with hints of citrus/floral. These all continue on the palate, with the floral notes dominating the others. Overall quite good and refreshing, although my bottle has a bit of a funky finish.

Very nice, light refreshing white. (A couple prior raters noted a "soapy" taste - must have been a bad barrel.) Pale, honey-colored wine with floral, peach and pear notes. Easy drinking and well balanced.

Something went wrong here. Smelled and tasted of dish soap--and not in a good way. Overpowering aromas of jasmine with a floral, acidic palate that held no fruit notes to counterbalance them. Would not recommend.

Opened and its aroma was an explosion of floral notes and white peaches. Its taste has an odd (to me and Gail) mix of jasmine blossom, mint, and fresh herbs; it's as if you ground these flavors in a raw leaf form and shoved them into your palate! It was whacked to us. I have had Torrontes before and this was an unusually powerful and effusive representation, over the top of us.

As a previous reviewer wrote, this is a somewhat "odd" wine. The wine has lots of peach, floral, and some honey notes, but also a minerality and bracing acidity, with key lime pie. It was almost as if someone had taken two wines and mixed them in the glass. Some tastes would be like a crisp, citrusy sauvignon blanc, while others would be like a round, peachy semillon or viognier. It actually reminded us slightly of a poor man's Conundrum from Caymus. We've had Torrontes before, but didn't recall it tasting like this. Interesting wine, but not sure I'd reach for it again.

Slightly effervescent acidity on the entrance, lending a unique "bright" feeling. Star fruit, pear, white grapefruit. Very nice, good depth.
