14.1% alcohol. Not showing any age in its color. Touch of funk on the nose, along with red and black cherry, along with attractive floral and spice notes. In the mouth, focused and pure, with a great sense of elegance. Fruit all the way initially on the palate, which shows a touch of dried cherry, along with excellent complexity. Bright acidity. Long finish . Excellent. A-

14.1% alcohol. Not showing age at all in the color, a pretty red. Very pretty nose of funk, black cherry, flowers, and minerals. In the mouth, surprisingly forward for a wine with this age on it. Big black cherry fruit, baking spice, a floral note, and strong acidity lead the way on the palate. Solid finish. A really graceful but lively wine. A-

popped and poured at a BBQ, what soft and balanced fruit. The best way to describe this wine is elegant. Red berries on the palate, but done is a soft and understated style. Really liked this. Call this bottle a 90

Popped and poured and had with Cheese and breads....Excellent Burgundy like Pinot, that was more elegant than powerful. It had some nice raspberry fruit on the palate mixed with some old world charm. Soft and mellow it is drinking well right now. Nice smooth finish. Great QPR and pretty tasty 89-90

Good floral start with moderate red cherry. Mostly red cherry on palate with some black cherry hints. Spice emerges on finish. Good but not quite at the same level as when tasted in Sonoma last year.

Quick visit to Napa and Sonoma; 7/9/2004-7/10/2004 (Sonoma and Napa): Tasting at winery. Somebody suggested I try this guy's wine, particularly his Pinot Noir. No disappointment with this wine. Floral start followed by intense dark fruit. Black cherry flavors with spice hints. Ripe but balanced, without overly assertive alcohol. Long, lacy finish.
