Stellar drinking for a wine of this age and price. Drank alongside a 16 Allouran and the differences were barely perceptible - great reflection on the winemaking and terroir.

These guys are very good and very classy. Very classic with emphasis on furry tannin, structure and length. Olive, dry herbs, some astringency; not what I'd call friendly but clearly one for the purists. Can't hurt to revisit as a 10yr old+.

Cedar, tobacco, dried herbs, black fruits. Resolved tannins. Well balanced. Complex and delicious wine, and at this level punches well above its' price point.

Full fruited - rich blue and black fruit flavours. The palate is still carried by slightly firm acids. The finish is long. Half the bottle remained sealed with the screw cap in the fridge for 4 days. When re-tasted, there was so much complexity. Cedar, tobacco, green forest flavours. The palate was much more refined. So if drinking this wine soon, maybe a good decant is in order.

This really is hitting it's straps. Gorgeous black fruits, cedary oak and harmonious and integrated tannins combine to give a delicious experience. Its medium weighted, long and starting to reveal some complexities. Still some upside with some more time.

Deep red hue in the glass, the nose has good depth of Plum and black olive characters.
The palate has dense olive and blackcurrant that are suited by firm tannins and even a touch of spice on the mid to back palate.
The finish has excellent length, and as a wine it will continue to evolve over the next 5 - 10 years. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2013-2017)

Peter Bourne's Right Bank - Merlot and Cab Franc lead the way (Sydney): Colour Clear, ruby, medium minus intensity, legs Nose Medium minus intensity, developing, clean. Red currant, plum and spice. Slight herbaceous notes and greenness. Mouth Medium plus tannin that seems to fade away. Medium acid, alcohol, body, flavour intensity. Dry. Slight hot, toast, red fruit, long finish. Hmm.

Loved the tobacco and rich plum notes. Initially served too cold (direct from the cellar), but as it warmed up, it began to show nicely. Would easily keep a further 5+ years.

This wine is far too young and needs a long time in the decanter, but it is still a wonderful experience and after 7+ years in the cellar it will be coming into its own. It has the most amazing structure and complexity of flavour, and while it is unmistakably Margaret River there are notes of the 'Right Bank' earthy savouriness which is alluded to on the label. This wine is only $25 and at that price it is unbelievable value.

This was a gorgeous wine. Bright nose of plums and savoury spice, which followed on to the palate. There's mocha, tobacco, and a wonderful savouriness. It's long and fresh and beautifully balanced. It's about as "right bank" as you can get. And the value is outstanding! Do yourself a favour and grab some.

The last bottle I had tasted like it was drying out, but this bottle was much fresher with prominent plum and blackberry. Really enjoyable.

In a really good place. It's colour is starting to bricken, there's black currant, some leather, a chalky drying finish, with a medium to light body.

Savoury black currant, plum, blackberry, a little smoke and dried herbs. Firm tannic structure. In a really good place right now.

In a nice phase right now. Beautiful core of deep blue fruits surrounded by fine, elegant tannins. Drinking better on day 1 than day 2.

Just starting to enter drinking window, plenty of fruit still but tannins are integrated and is starting to show some gravelly complexity.

Black fruits abound, but there is complexity building in to this wine now, with hints of cedar and tobacco. Drinking well.

Nice, approachable and quite enjoyable wine. Structure is excellent.
Nothing really excites about the wine, but it is a solid performer and worth the price of entry.
