Opened an hour before consumption. Melba toast, aromatic melon and core of integrated capsicum for balance. Viscosity and good length. Subtle changes from my Dec '14 note that tell me to drink up my remaining bottle this year while it continues to excel. Will seek out more using CT's collective wisdom to select the optimum vintage.

Looking and tasting much older than its true age, while not dead, it was on its way. The wine lacked freshness and complexity in the nose and the mouth. Drink up as it's only going to get worse.

Green-tinged golden yellow. Shy tropical fruit nose that developed substantially with air. Tropical fruit, apple, pear and vanilla on the palate. This was muted at first but came around very nicely with air. Should have decanted for 45 minutes or so. Lovely once it arrived. Drink now and over the next year or two.

Absolutely superb once again. Viscous, toasty ripe exotic fruit/pink grapefruit and integrated subtle capsicum grip. Seems to be holding up longer than I originally expected but should nonetheless be drunk up soonish while maintaining this quality level.

Becoming a bit fuller with age while still much as earlier notes. Approaching end of plateau, drink over next twelve months - still excellent but don't hang around!

PnP, and served in a plastic wine glass, so perhaps that was the problem. Not much going on here on the nose or the palate. Glycerin and a bit medicinal and the alcohol is hot on the finish. Good acidity, but no fruit to complement it. Pumped the remainder and will decant and retaste tomorrow--in a proper wine glass!

Drank at Blanco's beach house. This tasting is consistent with my most recent notes, though I preferred this tasting. Pale to medium straw color, nose of citrus and feint oak/vanilla. Good fruit here, a bit of spice, good acidity & nice length. A bit oakier than I recall but also a pleasant creaminess, with all elements nicely integrated and drinking well right now. Good to go over the near term with remaining 07s

A worthy emergency substitute for a flawed bottle of '83 La Mission Haut Brion to accompany our Sunday roast chicken en famille. Previous note applies. A truly fine and (very) New World chardonnay.

2 hour decant and removed from fridge for final 30mins to bring the wine up to cellar temperature. Completely transformed this wine from first bottle noted earlier. Golden colour. Wonderful nose of tropical fruits, citrus peel and hint of American oak. Buttery, ripe aromatic peach/pineapple and integrated balancing acidity and touch of oak toast. Fine viscous mouth feel, full bodied and long. A little alcohol heat? Superb. perhaps two years ahead of it at this level.

Arrived two days ago from NY. Opened 30 minutes from drinking to breathe (with hindsight totally inadequate). Straw coloured. Nose of citrus, vanilla and integrated oak. Flavour wonderfully buttery with capsicum and citrus zest and some alcoholic heat. Full, almost sweet attack but drys down as length progresses. Should have been opened/decanted much earlier as was clearly improving in glass that I kept back. Will try again shortly and give a mark then. A pointe now and for a couple of years; ?91+.

Medium yellow, a bit cloudy. A big California Chard. Plenty of structure, nose of citrus, and hints of spice. A bit of creaminess and finishes with just enough acid to clear things. A good 20+ second finish.

Very nice nose of lemon oil, butter, citrus. Nice mineral nuance and acidity, good mouthfeel, in balance and very much in a good place. Typical of the genre, a pleasure for lovers of the big California Chard.

Pop and pour and drank on a boat in Govino plastic glasses. Dark yellow color; nice golden hue. Nose of pear and lychees. A very rich and soft wine. There is butter and cream but not in any way overwhelming. While rich, there is a does of brightness to this that keeps it interesting.

Pretty deep yellow for such a young wine, cloudy as well due to no filtration. Excellent nose of butter, roasted yellow peppers, sweet oak, NO tropical fruit thank god. The palate is full bodied, sweet attack but very good balance with a somewhat zesty acidity. Pretty long aftertaste. The day after, I later compared this wine with a Jobard Meursault 1 cru Perrieres 2005 and although the Kistler was noticably heavier and flamboyant on the nose, the palate and mouthfeel was somewhat the same. The Meursault had more rubber nose (beginning tertiary aromas) and the Kistler was more pure fruit.

Excellent and a certainty for my 60th in April with smoked duck entrée. Don't serve too cold to get optimum enjoyment.
