  • Okay, there was some back and forth on this wine as to whether or not it was too far past its prime to be any good. I believe that it was not and I liked it. It was certainly past its optimal drinking window, but it wasn't dead. It was not nearly as nice at this age as the La Chanson Argentée de Cuillere, but still nice for nine years of age. Either way I couldn't go wrong after paying less than $9 for a $40 (approx) wine. (Review on other wine to follow.)

  • I liked this more now with a few more years in the cellar. This is a great American chard done in a style that emphasizes the fruit without much mucking around. While you can't ignore it's origins it has some Meursault like characteristics -sort of a blend of new & old world. Not fat but definitely citrusy, vervey and a little tangy -great food wine. Serve slightly warmer than most for max aromatics and enjoyment. Well done & should drink great for several years though I don't see much upside.

  • Consistent notes, with a little more nuttiness this time around. Great with almost any food. Robust acidity. Excellent wine.

  • Really nice honey and smashed lime on the nose ....light to medium, not oaky or buttery at all, great balance. Love this style and it'll be a summertime stunner, I am a huge fan of well made chardonnay from the Bien Nacido vineyard Glad I have more. Drinking really well right now.

  • Very creamy nose, honeysuckle and lemon. Med bodied, creamy, with lemon, honey notes, really nice acidity cutting through it. Clean finish. Really nicely balanced and great for light faire.

  • Nice medium flavored, medium bodied and with soft round edges. Fragrant nose and flavors of lemon, honey and mineral. Not a typical California chardonnay. I enjoyed it, but would have liked it even more if the acidity were more prevalent.
