Happy birthday to me! This was fantastic, and well worth the wait. It actually still had plenty of life left in it, but it was ready to drink with a bit of aeration. It's ridiculous that I only paid $33 for this. Even more ridiculous was that I only purchased one bottle. If I had only known. I only have six bottles left of the '09, '10, and '11. Certainly a wine for special occasions. Anyone can buy a supper expensive bottle of wine and have a good experience with it, but to find a realistically-priced wine made with passion provides a great experience. Thank you Gus Anderson. We wish we had an endless supply of your wines.

Both of my 2011s were flawed. They weren't "corked," but they drank as if they were already 25 years old. They were both a little better on days two and three, but they were still far past prime drinking. Has anyone else experienced this with their 2011s? These were purchased at the same time from the same vendor. We have not experienced this with other vintages.

Fantastic! This was in a wonderful place when we opened it. The balance was fantastic. It has life left in it, of course, but we likely won't wait too long on the next bottle. Yum!

1/22/2016 8:04:00 PM - Hey Dan, just realized you're near me. Guessing you're a WTSO buyer. Interested in joining a blind tasting group ? or just getting together to share some good stuff?
8/19/2015 12:04:00 PM - Dan:I bought the brunello for which you just left tasting notes, back in 11/10 from Wine Library for $15. I still have 2 bottles in my cellar, so I may need to open another soon.

12/27/2013 6:02:00 AM - I’m looking for someone in the Fort Belvoir area who might be interested in splitting orders on WTSO ( www.wtso.com ) . I just don’t have the space to order four bottles at a time. Let me know if you’re interested.
