High ullage and cork in prestine condition. PNP into Kimura Cava glass (“Leaf” day): Medium garnet with bricking rim.
Alluring bouquet of black wild cherries, plums and meaty, sous bois notes. Typical profile of a GC at this caliber?
On the palate, acidity remains quite fresh and well integrated with the complex flavor profile (though not exceptionally layered), the tannins is almost fully resolved at this point but still in very good structure. Good persistency to the savory finish. This has a good balance of the expected power of a GC but also the finesse of a top Bourgogne indeed.
This would likely still hold for another 3-5 years given the condition. This is 94-95 points to me.

This was opened up while the 98 LaTache developed in the glass. Initially I thought this was dead but after 45 min in the glass the nose opened and the fruit and finish made a grande appearance. Amazing how properly stored wine even at the village level seems immortal. This was a pleasant wine well past it’s prime with some fruit and nice balance. These should be consumed but this bottle seemed to have the ability to be ‘drinkable’ for a few more years.

Amazing how well the acidity and fruit have held up for a village wine. Nose showed aromatics of sweet cherry fruit, dried flowers and earth. Palate had a nice dose of sweetness with bright acidity. It faded after an hour. Drink up. 91-92

(SYP) pnp Holding up well as a village wine and offering up notes of warm, red berry, floral and hint of tea leaf and meat. Velvety and smooth on the palate with flavours of red fruit, tea and earth, and noticeable warmth. The fruit here has started to fade.

Despite cloudiness, really had held onto the '93 power without giving up much fruit. Very dark, sappy, "grippy" fruit as is the hallmark of Dugat's best wines. Gets a 93 alone for A) being so good as a village wine 26 years on and B) having such good balance of fruit and power, which has been an anomaly versus many '93 red burgs. Regardless, drink now though as it is unclear how much longer this has

Pleasant surprise. Good color and nose, drinking pretty well, got better as it opened.

Underbar mogen doft med både jordgubbar och hallon, skogsmark, ostronskal och stall. I smaken fin balans med mogen frukt och elegant silkighet.

Incredibly well aged Burgundy. Strawberry and raspberry flavors throughout and a smooth silky finish.

Uncorked DK tasting: 1993 Burgundies and some other wines that were actually great! (Peter Solberg): Acidic nose, but with some hints of sweetness together with some oaky notes and brown sugar. The nose is rather spicy and intense. The mouth is dominated by strange prickling acid and a taste of burned rubber. This is dead.
