A friend and I tasted this at the Woodinville tasting room on 11/5/11. It had a rich, fragrant bouquet of wood smoke, cherry, plum, spice, allspice and mineral aromas. The palate was smooth, rich and tasty with flavors of cherry, plum, cinnamon, spice and mineral.

Open 24 hours. Pours dark, plump in texture with raspberry, bing cherry, plum and light herb. There is a nice thread of acidity hanging in the wine, which helps shoulder the plump fruit. Finishes with some zesty herb and light mineral.

Nose: Hint of black pepper and stems, but the nose is dominated by dense, rich pinot fruit. Lots of ripe, red berries as well as plums. Palate: Pure, sweet, berry candy, along with some sap and a hint of licorice on the attack. Smooth tannins on the mid-palate, along with gobs more sweet berries. The balance of this wine really stands out, as does the sweet, juicy fruit. Delicious.

Earthy and tangy cherries at the same time, very well balanced and aging superbly. Truly outstanding compared to other thin and underipe '07 Oregon pinots.

Tasted it at the newly opened tasting room at Lachini Vineyards. This has evolved into a very complex, interesting, and very well balanced wine. It is drinking awesome right now, but could still go a couple more years before peaking.

taste: silky and sleek medium feel with medium/high acidity with some noticeable tannins as well. Balanced and pretty tones of brown spices, dark red fruits, red florals, plums and earth tones all balanced well together
overall: a very complex and searching pinot. The nose was very nuanced and ever so lovely. The palate let you know that the wine is young and certainly in need of a few years

Really nice nose of cherries and brigh red fruits. On the palate is spicey with a finish that has some earthy, mushroom overtones. Very nice Pinot

Made with Dijon clones. More Burgundian in style. Very tasty wine, well structured and nicely layered.
