Opened to toast the brave men and women of U.S. Special Forces and others who today successfully brought a measure of justice to those who would take the lives of innocent people to terrorize the world, and to commemorate those whose lives were senselessly and sadly lost.

The nose is bright and complex showing Rainier cherries, strawberries, limes, and a faint bit of celery. Juicy strawberries appear on the palate along with the limes which provide some solid acidity. Cherries and lime peels show later in the experience as a bit of structure sets up. Solid flavors. 89+

Tasted both at the winery and after dinner. Consistently amazing wine. Strawberry, apricot, cherry fruits. Minerality that seems to go on forever. What an absolute delight to drink this wine. I need more of it.

Very fresh, bright acidity, grapefruit, flowers, red juice flavors show through on the palate. Straight-forward approach, short finish. Fine bubbles, nice texture in the mouth. Fresh and vibrant right now, I would let this age out a while.

Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley, Oregon (Oregon): The nose is tart with strawberry scents in the fore and some citrus scents as well. Crisp acidity comes across on the palate along with jumpy bubbles on the front and middle. The strawberry delivers all the way through, and shows up on the sides of the palate. There's a small amount of dark pie crust. It's not "burnt" dark, just dark.

Yamhill-Carlton District AVA tasting at The Portland Armory: I was very excited to try this after recently having their 1997 Blanc de Blanc and loving it. This one didn't quite deliver, though. Fairly light candied fruits on the nose. Nice acidity and bubbles on the palate, with only very light berries. Quite straight forward and uninteresting throughout, though. Would never pick this out of a blind lineup as anything interesting.

"Pretty pink" the g/f said. Good acidity but lacking in depth or expression. Good female crowd pleaser though.

Very pleasant bubbly. Drank to celebrate Julia and Alberto's first at the baby shower. Grandparents!?! I get strawberries and a hint of watermelon.

Simple, restrained, very nice and a crowd pleaser that the Thanksgiving crew finished off before the Moet Imperial side by side.

Nice vigorous fine mousse. Dried strawberries, watermelon, white blossoms. Round, refreshing, and pleasant.
