very clean , understated style that is mature in this vintage but less showy and less terroir driven than is my taste. the 07 is at its best and better than the 05

Big rich nose still shows some reduction and match stick, but behind that is baked apples and minerals galore. Palate is well-concentrated with meaty fruit but plenty of lively acids.

Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): Ripe orchard fruit with sweet spice hints and a little bit of buttered popcorn. Lots of energy and structural support. As a result, this simultaneously seems fat and lean, both working well together. Good now, with upside.

Medium-dark straw color with golden glints, looking very mature. Broad, rich, full nose of lychee and bubblegum. The palate has similarly rich and exotic fruit flavors, with ample oak balanced by subtle stoniness. The acids have mellowed, providing a mere suggestion of structure on the finish. One to enjoy now, while you're waiting for your 2007 Bonneau du Martray to reach its tenth birthday. A general aesthetic note: Domaine Dublère should hire a graphic designer. The font on this label looks only slightly better than Comic Sans.

Wow. Everything one expects from great Corton-Charlemagne: focus, precision, length and breadth. The nose is powerful, with crushed stone, white flowers and citrus. Mouth-puckerng in its intensity, the flavours are of tropical fruits, citrus and minerals, with a peacock-tail finish that goes on and on. Stlll very young, but oh so delicious!

Wow - this was a beautiful wine. Pale color and pure appearance. Nose of grapefruit, crushed rock, smoke and tell-tale corton minerality. The palate was wonderful - bright fruit and acidity, solid burgundian backbone and glycerin-rich finish. I'd be happy with this wine night in and out. Can't really speak with precision on the drinking window but it's clearly in a really good place right now.

On the downhill slope, gold color, nose disappearing - drink now if you've got any.

Best Dublere wine I've had. GreT depth and precision. Classic Corton Charlie and there is upside here. Very good.

Jean/Michel Gros Vosne-Romanee 1er Clos des Reas Dinner (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): I liked this wine while also finding it slightly eccentric. Great floral start with toasted brioche, ripe apple and sweet spice. Long of acidity but also some faint hints of sweetness form an odd combination that I like in a curious way.

Domaine Dublère Cellar Visit and Tasting (Savigny-lès-Beaune): Tasting at the domaine. Very rich and borderline tropical, followed by leaner fruit near the finish with lots of structure. This should age gracefully with 91-92 point potential.
