I love the Boisson vadot style. It has everything but nothing too much what I expect from a great white Burgundy. 96

  • This wine seems indestructible. It is almost identical as it was 10 years ago. Blame it on the sulfur amount that gives a sesame/gun powder nose. but beyond these notes which are quite divisive, the nose is brilliant and vibrant, orchard fruits, white flower. the palate shows great balance between power, freshness and length. it is not an everyday wine" but it is a pretty good one.

  • Regular dinner group (@ JvT): Beautiful and complex bouquet with fireworks and yellow fruits as well as citrus. On the palate good citrus, oak, toast, fresh acidity and flint stone minerals. A lot of good and fresh citrus acidity in the finish. 94 - 95

  • This wine was decanted for several hours on day 1 and finished on day 2.

Lemon yellow color with no signs of premox whatsoever. I have been drinking and following this wine now since 2010 and this is the best bottle yet. Give this plenty of air and enjoy the minerals and stones in your mouth. Great purity of fruit with a round rich mouthful of flavors that tingle your taste buds with vibrant acidity that is so well integrated. Very Meursault in the flavor profile.

This wine has a long lingering finish and great complexity. This is Premier Cru quality in every way. Still have (8) bottles left and some 2010 as well and in all honesty, this is my favorite producer in Meursault. I have never tried Coche-Dury so this is the closest I will likely get in that reguard. I wish all white Burgundy producers make wine at this level. Superb indeed. ++++

  • This was my 4th, and thankfully last bottle of this wine. Others seem to have gotten different batches and have enjoyed this wine. Mine were all acetic, devoid of fruit and marred by large amounts of overly charred wood. I really cannot explain these discrepancies but I am glad others enjoyed it. I tried this wine over a three year period and there was no improvement.
Since these were uniformly poor, I do not even know if I should consider them flawed but I certainly cannot give it a "points" rating.

  • This has astounding depth for a village wine. Some reductive notes at first, but then notes of hazelnuts, toasted sesame and tons of fruit. Excellent acidity, silky texture, oak nearly fully integrated. Very typically Meursault in character and showing well right now.

  • This wine was open about 10 hours prior to drinking.

Color is clear and light yellow or lemon. The nose is nice and very meursault when swirled around in a large burgundy glass.

Taste: Medium body with a oily and somewhat rich texture. This has really softened up from when I first tasted this wine back in 2009. Reminds me of a very good 1st Cru rather then a village wine as it has a wonderful lingering finish that lasts 30 seconds. This wine is not lean and is very well balanced with minerals, lime and other meursault nuances that linger on the taste buds. This wine was very tight when young but has come together beautifully now and is complex especially on the long mineral finish. Glad I purchased a case of it back in the day.

I tried all three of the village wines from Boisson-Vadot when they were released and the Chevalieres was my favorite, by far, for the great minerality and purity of fruit. The 2007 Bourgogne Blanc was also excellent at its price point but the 2010 version is even better and this represents a excellent value indeed. If you can find some try a bottle of the 2010 and judge yourself.

This 2007 is really good and I am enjoying drinking it very much. Its everything I would come to expect in a excellent mersault and comes highly recommended. A 91+ to 92 point wine in my book.

  • As good as the 09 version of this is, this is a step up. So pure, focussed and direct with lemon, minerals, rockmelon and white peach aromas and flavours. It has tremendous rocky detail, is linear and loaded with dry extract. It is almost a little ‘Coche like’ in a way. Fabulous Village wine!

  • I found some nice pear, white peach, some apple and a good texture. I don't have enough bottle to bottle experience with Meursault to get good context but for 60, I suppose it was fine. Seemed to me to lack some cut and definition, things I have found much better in Puligny and Chablis for this same price.

  • Arresting nose - strong resin, herbal and mint notes atop fresh orchard fruits (Coche via Ramonet). A bomb in the mouth: Penetrating repeat of all those aromas, with acid bite. Stupendous texture and body for an 07, but not at all heavy - almost tannic on the finish. Very impressive now and promising for the future.
