Popped and poured. Aroma of olives and menthol. Laid back flavors of black fruit, earth. Short finish. Simple, good backbone, maybe a little tired. Correct, decent for the price, but nothing special. Drink up.

Very nice complex and intriguing nose that offers dusty cellar, slight funkiness, jammy fruits, black pepper, and earthy minerality. Unfortunately that complexity did not translate to the palate where the taste fell a little flat. I would say it was even a little bland. The powdery tannins were nice but it just wasn't giving up much in the way of flavor or finish. Drinkable and not offensive, but just not memorable or special.

Solid wine for the money. With some air really had a northern rhone syrah nose, pepper some meat etc. Nice and lithe in the mouth, not a blockbuster but a solid elegant bottle of wine.

Incredibly peppery nose, almost too much. Nice wine, not going to make anyone fall in love with the region.

Drank with Stu, Mary, and Mike. Dinner: lamb steak, roasted root vegetables, sauteed vegetables. This is a Syrah from the Northern Rhone.
