This has some remaining life in it, but it's past its peak for sure. The fruit is mature and somewhat tired (but I liked it that way). Still some meaningful acidity, albeit not anywhere close to being energetic and young, which is as expected. Secondary notes are limited, however, and the finish is not particularly long. At $27 I paid, this is still a bargain; I'd buy it again.

This was an amazing bottle of wine. Opened with sous vide and flash grilled steaks. It still had a lot of youthful acid that gave way to mellow sweet tannins. An affordable bottle of csv that matured into a gem. Last bottle and I'm sad. The cork was wet almost half the way up.

Great balance of tannins and acidity. Nice fruit notes and good finish. I wish it had had more depth and a longer finish. This wine is ready to drink now.

Impenetrably dark in color w/brooding nose of dark fruits, oak and slight notice of medicinal herbs leading to a medium-thick body of black cherry/berry,chocolate and oak shadings. W/enough grippy tannins but medium acid structure this may or may not get much better but will likely hold for 2-5 more years. The tannins echo in the finish. Good enough for broiled red meat, heh?

Deep burgundy color; cherry, currents, oak and something vegetal on the nose (per my wife "black cherry wishniak"); initially sweet blackberry and cherry on the palate with spice, chocolate, cassis and a little tobacco and more oak than I prefer; finish with little acid and moderate tannins. Kept thinking I had tasted it before; good value

Very good Washington Cab. The nose is a little muted and hot but the fruit is delicious. Yes the oak is strong and there is the typical Washington menthol added to the cab cassis and vanilla. I liked this bottle, it is very drinkable, and will try another in a year or so.

Very approachable and easy to drink, the Canoe Ridge Estate Cab from Ch Ste Michelle is really quite balanced and elegant. No bumps with a core of black cherry fruit, plum sauce, raisins, hints of toasted oak. Not that complex, and longing for a little more earthiness, this wine however makes up for silkiness, roundness, and pure enjoyment. Drink now until 2017.

I'm surprised to see the "75" point score before me, but this struck me as a terrific crowd-pleaser of a wine, built for those who typically love California Cabernet. Rich, ripe and dense, with black currant and blackberry, loads of chocolate and noticeable (but acceptable) French oak. At $20 it's a good value, but at $15 it'd be a "back up the truck" deal....

Beautiful, like a baby Quilceda but not as intense. Deep crimson. Attractive nose with Big juicy bing cherry, some sweet tobacco, smooth semi sweet chocolate and oak; rich but almost integrated tannins. Good grip and mouth feel and finish. Drinks well right out of the bottle but will age. Almost the same flavor profile of the '06 but not as round and smooth. More bang for the buck than most Cally cabs $30 or less.

The cork disintegrated in major ways. The other bottle I pulled was just fine (see a separate TN).

Dusty tannins throughout. A little lacking subtlety on the finish but good for a few years yet

Oak sweetness too overwhelming, in fact oak, the whole oak, nothing but the oak.

Good, but not wonderful. I may not have let it air enough, but I've had better Cabernets from this winery.
