- Light gold color with medium forming legs and aromas of kerosene and pineapple. It's lacking fruit and has flavours of melon and diacetyl (butter) with a light/medium body. Fleshy texture with a short finish.

An understated wine that would work well with similar food. Very balanced but lacking some of the brighter fruit flavors I prefer. A little short on the finish as well. I wouldn't wait too long on these if you have them.

The OC Blind Wine Crew goes Italian (Il Barone Ristorante, Newport Beach, CA): Pineapple and lemon custard on the nose that seems polluted with some sort of kerosene note. Rich palate with a strong finish, still showing round and with a touch of heat. The odd note this showed was a surprise for me and marred a wine I had much better expectations for after previous go arounds with Failla wines.

Badly flawed. Bitter and undrinkable. Confirmed with three other tasters.

golden color, nose of petrol and apricot, dark dried fruits on palate, silky mouth feel. Better than previous bottles, but not by much.

both bottles were flawed, oxidized, undrinkable.

Creamy, tropical fruit with hints of apricots. Showing well now.
