Not what I was expecting based on the previous bottles. Aromas: cranberry, strawberry, tobacco, cinnamon. Palate: cranberry, strawberry, some earthy tones, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon. Smooth, easy to drink, full body, great pinot.

Continues to develop beautifully. Primary aromas: balsamic, salty meat, mushrooms, leather, ripe black currant. Meat stew, sage. It’s velvety, smooth, mainly earthy at this point with subtle plum.

Bought on Vivino sale. I think they emptied the cellar of this vintage because it’s not getting better and the corks are failing. Anyway, I found after a 90 minute decant this is one of the better pinots I’ve ever had.

Musty cooking spices, earthy, and mushrooms on the nose. Full body, not much fruit taste, maybe mellow plum- just a touch of acidity. Thick and velvety.

Served alongside the LWC 2010 Aubaine, this was the more precise elegant offering that showed a cold steely edge. Drying dusty tannins detracted a bit from the cherry, red raspberry, strawberry fruits. Medium finish.

a bit sweet for me...suprising since Saintsbury pinots are normally pretty conservative. There was some definate sweet tannins on the finish that were distracting.

Gevrey style, masculine pinot...deep color, real presence, plenty of tannins at this point so be patient. Cherries and raspberries in nose, good finish and mouthfeel...bit stemmy on this tasting; 14.5% alcohol in control, not hot or over-extracted

Strong showing. Good on its own or with food.

Earthy, more toned down from the last bottle I had. The acidity is present on the palate, plums, mushrooms, velvet tannins.

Robust, fruity, good with food. Not a typical Pinot.
