Cork was wet through but stayed intact. Lovely aromas of cassis. The wine is jewel bright in the glass, slight browning at the rim. Palate still has red fruits but the primary taste is of cedar and leather. Very light and not too dusty at all. Nice surprise.

Exceptionally well stored since acquisition upon release. Cork came out whole. Low neck fill. Took a few hours to fill out. Very strong cedar boxy throughout. Quite a lengthy finish. All albeit with plenty of dryness. A monumental steak wine (sadly I had pasta). The score here is my objective score. My subjective score i ans easy 95. Why? Because this wine delivers a real cigar boxy mouthful and does it it without the density and weight of a modern style Bordeaux. This wine is very light in weight on the palate but it delivers an immense incisive expression to the palate. I like the mix, but that is basically the old style Bordeaux mix.

Nederst i nakke-fyll, fin kork (rekorket?). Mørk farge, bred kjerne. Solbær, skogbunn og lær på nese sammen med noe vemmelig mandelpreg og litt alkostikk. Flott kjølig og stram i munn. Godt balansert og saftig preg. Pent tanninbitt generøst fordelt i munn. Lang men beskjeden. Nesen trekker ned mens munnen er ganske flott.

Good color nice clear orange to the rim. the nose is truely aristocratic. lovely Medoc with a lot of cedar, leather and blackberries. it takes some time to open up but then it is really there, like i said, this is very good. its taste is warm, lean a body with a lot of finesse and leanness. its aftertaste is long persistent and very ripe with some jam-alike notes. lovely wine that is very much worth the buy. as i have experienced before; this chateau has a very good price/quality ratio

Saturdays at One - Volume 32: Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of leather, dried herbs and a bit of perfume. Flavors of tart berries, cherries and a bit of rhubarb pie on the finish. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink now.

Dark in color, a fairly big wine, with still some tannin to lose after 35 years! It took about half an hour in the glass to blossom, and then it offered lots of old-Bordeaux complexity, sealing-was nose, plenty of fruit, quite dry. I expect it to continue improving.

Bordeaux 1975 ten years after the harvest; tasted blind, only the vintage was known: not as deep in colour as most of the other wines n the tasting, lots of wood and some sweetness, a friendly, but modest taste; the aftertaste is the best part of this wine with a nice balance and good freshness.

Medium garnet.
Clean. Fresh red fruits touch of leather.
Dry. Earthy red fruit touch leather. Medium finish.

The nose was tight, but did have a little leather and cherry. The palate soft, with sour cherry, earth, and a little spice on the finish.

Weekend at Ch Lanessan. From the Chateau's private collection
Much better than expected given the vintage. Drinks very well at the moment. Flat on the nose unfortunately.

Still some fruit, but muted. Density of color was OK, but turning a earthy hue. Finish is gone.......
