Fully mature, but with some life left, as the grapefruits and assorted, mostly yellow, citrus fruits remain fresh. There is a touch of honey and floral aromatics that add nuance to the wine.

The nose had a distinct tropical fruit smell of mango maybe. The colour is a deep straw or honey. The palate had a good texture confirmed by the thick legs. The palate was kind of one dimensional but had a nice acidity that made this a good accompaniment to baked Basa with dill. I likey.

Tasted with a red snapper cooked in a salt crust. Much more interesting than the old 2002 Meursault that was preceding it. Mineral with a good acidity. Unexpected aroma of banana and vanilla. The semillon provided a beautiful honey color.

Better than when I tasted this summer at the Chateau. An enjoyable wine but not sure it will improve significantly with age.

BORDEAUX 2005 / Graves reds and whites tasted in 2006 (Bordeaux): Nice mineral like nose with lime notes, clove and spice. Palate is a bit burly with some sharp, almost salty flavors. Nice finish, with intensity, too. 89-91?
