A bit of a dank nose, not corked, but the muddled red undertones are muted. Palate is balanced and is holding on to a nice red fruit character, but a bit of a wallflower, some Asian spice which is interesting, I would definitely drink up

Wow, this was rocking. No formal notes, but this was long, deep, nuanced, laden with tertiaries yet still fresh, and delicious with Lynn's rendition of James Campbell Caruso's Cana de Cordero (Slow Braised Lamb Shanks with Lemon, Cumin and Cinnamon).

I believe this aged Cab is a bargain at $25. Very smooth texture. Black fruit with a touch of olive and nice, long finish. A few nights ago I head a 1998 Cap de Faugeres and the Freemark Abbey was much more enjoyable and has more time and fruit left.

Dark ruby; translucent and a bit of bricking. Nice but linear nose of dry currant, dry cherry, bit of cedar. Palate was more dry fruits, decent acidity and relaxed tannins. There is a streak of olive/greenness that helps alleviate the lack of freshness. Not particularly complex but very good.

I had moved this bottle several times due to moving. Was not stored well. I was very happy to find the wine in good condition when opened. The cork broke but didn't seem to matter. Even at this age, I'd say the wine still has a few more years of shelf life. I liked the dry olive tasting Cab straight out of the bottle but the family enjoyed it more after being decanted a bit. If you like Freemark Abbey wine, this one was a winner. Very smooth and flavorful.

Wonderful texture. Nose of black fruits. Tastes of black fruits and olives with some earth. Plenty of fruit left.

Excellent; smooth, long body and still lots of flavor for a 15 year old wine.

Soft fruit, good structure still a little on the green side which I enjoyed.
