1/1. Wow, that's a heavy bottle right there. Ok, so we're being serious here apparently. Medium ruby. Smells really nice with notes of black cherry, plum, orange peel, potpourri, lemon, lavender, black tea, earth, fennel, eucalyptus, cedar, mushrooms, smoke, and light barnyard funk. Nice. Medium body, medium (+) acid and finish, nice luscious mouth feel, and flavors of black cherry, plum, lemon, orange, black tea, and minerals. Perfect tonight with apple butter pork chops and sweet potatoes. Really nice.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. celebrating the end of the work week and having survived another week of SIP. (stay in place/sip in place) due to pandemic. i continue to prune the cellar of bottles with past due drink by dates. i had been holding on to my last bottle of this wine to share with marty s. but the occasion never presented itself. the wine proved to be in sound condition. no formal notes. see my last tasting note of 4/24/20 which still holds true. i have been exploring other rosella's vineyard offerings. i need to pay more attention to this AVA.

shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate surviving another week of "staying in place" due to corona virus. the wine continues to show well despite having been stored at room temperature since purchase. in fact, this bottle showed better than the last one tasted on 3/2/2019. tonite's bottle was fuller and more robust. shows more generous nose and more rich mouth feel. builds to a crescendo after being open for forty minutes. the wine continues to show ruby color with no browning. floral nose. fruit forward. cherry, plum and brown licorice on the palate. well balanced. soft tannin. medium finish. although fully mature and drinking beautifully now, it seems to have sufficient structure to keep on going. will wait a year before enjoying the last one.

Very rich and expressive, fairly ripe style Pinot. Showing beautifully with plenty of fruit and structure. No issues with excessive alcohol here. I would love to see how this wine develops.

We found this undrinkable. After an hour of air, the initial taste was fine but there was a horrible aftertaste -- like metallic green pepper. We abandoned it and selected something else but really disappointing given the raves. Hopefully just a bad bottle since we have one more.

What a great bottle of wine. This is the type of pinot I truly love. Perfect balance is how I'd define this wine. The fruit and acid were right on the mark. Fuller bodied than your average pinot .And a superb finish. Now is the time to drink this wine. I wish I had 2 cases of this

Much better than previous bottle. Darker than most pinots but classice delicate floral/strawberry pinot nose. Not overly complex (few savory notes, for instance-definitely a new-world style) but very balanced, with a nice long finish. Tannins are nearly totally absent. Kept me raising the glass for another sip, and another, and another...Really enjoyed it but only borderline rebuy at $29.

Muddy garnet in color, not displeasingly so. Initial nose is muted, with kirsch, pencil shavings, forest floor and burnished saddle leather ultimately drawn up from the glass. Initial tastes show balance of fruit and tannins, fleshy red fruit especially mascerated strawberries, cranberry and cherry. smooth through the mid palate, just a hint of heat that must have been raging in 2010 or whenever the release date was...camphor and leather on the back palate with some tannins bursting on the scene but fading into harmony quickly. nice bottle. well done, old wise man.

I am disappointed, mostly because my expectations were high given other reviews. Popped & poured through Vinturi. Overwhelming nose of barnyard funk blew everything else out of the water. Over an hour or so in the glass, more complexity emerged hinting that with a longish decant this might really be a very good wine, but stayed mostly one-dimensional throughout dinner.

It's that Rosella terroir again! Almost doesn't seem to matter who makes it. Funky forest floor with baking spices on the nose, strawberry and bramble on the palate, with more earth at the end, silky mouthfeel, medium body fine tannins, with a long finish. Yum!

Excellent. Our bottle was earthy, with flavors and aromas of strawberry, blueberry, patchouli, lily blossoms, cinnamon, soil, and a faint hint of oak. The finish was moderately long and perfumy.
This wine was very dark for a Pinot Noir....Syrah-like..., and I suspect it had a pretty good dollop of Syrah added, even though that wasn't mentioned on the label. In any event, it was a delightful pinot that outdrank much more expensive labels. I wish I had bought more.

I don't know the producer, but I love the vineyard, so when I saw this for $29 on Last Bottle, I took a flyer. I am quite glad I did. A very floral nose, with clean & focused Cali fruit. A nice balance between fruit, earthy funk, and acid. Went down smooth.

Had over 2 nights. Initially PnP & drank over 1+ hour on 1st night. Ruby red hue. Nice bouquet of black cherry, ripe red berries, spice, pine-needle & hint of rhubarb. Feminine & finessed palate w/notes of cherry, tart strawberry, cranberry, Framboise, white pepper, spice & earth. Soft fine tannins balanced w/good acidity, medium body & moderate finish.

Served at Pinot Night. It held its own beside Mondavi and Rodney Strongs reserve pinot. Good fruit and oak on nose. Sour Cherry and Earth on palate. Served at 62 Deg. With butternut Squash soup.

A lot of "weinstein", the gritty deposit found often in older vintages. Dark red, limited nose, dry feel with minerality and dark berries.
