Golden core with green flashes and a relatively large water white rim. Nose has hints of petrol as well as aromas of lime and elderflower. The palate is a little flabby, could do with a bit more acidity to cut through the off dry sweetness. Notes of Lime cordial dominate the palate but in all quite a pleasant drink. This wine wasn’t designed to be cellared for 10 years prior to opening but hasn’t suffered for it. It shows some development but I don’t think it has enough acidity to carry it much longer.

Still going strong, in fact better on day two. Aromas and flavors of lime, tangerine, apricot & minerals. Good acidity, medium finish. Quite refreshing at only 11%abv

Not a bad Riesling. Good plush stone fruit up front and then a mineral backbone that's quite striking. If only it was a bit more dry, so you could let that zingy/minerally finish sing for longer and not get overtaken by the sweet honeyed finish.

Mollydooker Horizontal 2010 (Mersch offices, Giva't Coach): The wine's name and the label imply for a gimmick. But this is a very nice and interesting wine. Citrus, flowers and minerals on the nose. Sharp, with excellent acidity. Off-dry.

Funny label. Off-dry Riesling with 11% alcohol, peachy and citrus aromas, classic mineral nuances - I would guess Alsace if tasted blind. Nice honeyed aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Very clear and fresh nose of lemon, grapes, flowers. Light to medium bodied with a strong acid backbone; it's tartness rounded out with some sweetness, but it is still on the austere side. Good length, nice intensity of flavors.

Lemon curd, sweet, citrus, short finish, thin, very tight.
