Nose is absent, lots of deposit. Light cherry color. Taste very fruity, well balance, will not benefit much from more aging. Indeed, still very pleasant to drink.

C.B.V.P. - Vertical Quinta do Côtto (Santo Colomba): Aberto, jogado no decanter e logo servido nas taças. Aromas de especiarias, frutas secas, ameixa. Na boca não muito untuoso, dulçor na medida com alcool aparecendo de início e depois sumindo. Média fruta, taninos presentes, ligeiro, agradável de se tomar. Final de média persistência. Ótimo/Excelente.

Not bad for a port from a poor vintage. Decent red colour, no real signs of age. The nose is subdued after 8 hours in the decanter with spices, dried fruits, and fruit cake. To taste, soft, figgy, a little short and not particularly sweet , indeed a rather dry port. A bit dusty perhaps? A modest drink but not a bad one. Additional Note: still drinking well 3 days later - flavour has a bit of liquorice to it now.

Dark garnet colour. Aromas of raisins, red fruits. Sweet red fruits on the palate; also showing notes of cinnamon and spice. Nice finish, ~30-35s with celery salt. Drink now.
