Dark-ish red. Lots of funkiness, garrigue and herbs. Mid-weight and rounded. I wonder how much better this is going to get, so I'm planning to drink up our remaining three bottles.

Good depth and it’s very drinkable. In a hotter year the Grenache comes to the fore and takes away from the usual complexity and elegance of this wine. Drink now to my taste

Grenache leads, aromatically, with dried strawberry and something that reminds of a sandy beach on a summer afternoon... and that reminds me of Rayas. There's a bit of garrigue as well, that some notice more than others. It's got a more blue fruited taste for me, with respectable tannins nicely balancing the acid. This worked well with usual foods you might pair with southern Rhone wines, and I think there's no rush to drink it. I have other bottles I'll leave alone a few more years.

I brought this to a committee meeting of the Solicitors' Wine Society (who generally are staunch Gauby-phobes) but it was one of the wines of the evening. Not as funky or wild as traditional Gauby, but voluptuous dark fruit which was a pleasure to drink. Very dark colour, full and mouth-filling - this has plenty of life in it yet, but I'm not inclined to wait!

I agree it is somewhat similar to a Gigondas. Not fully resolved but very easy and appealing to drink already. However, for me lacking the structure and finesse to justify the price at the moment.

Warten.

With the character reminisinet of a fine Gigondas, this is a pretty outstanding wine. Notes of deep lavender, smoke , garrigue, and currant. Layers unfold on the palate, and with a good decant, this wine develops rather nicely. Good, long finish. Plenty of life to hold this one.

This was such a disappointment to find that this wine that was higher priced than many I drink was undrinkable. As soon we we opened the bottle you could tell it was corked.

Boy am I sad that I only bought three bottle of this scrumptious wine. When I have to fight my wife for every last drop I know that I have found a great wine. This only just entered its drinking window. I hope that I can keep it long enough to try it when it is at its mid point - say 2021.

Good structure and nice balance but a bit “cooked” for my taste - maybe what to expect from this region. Needs a bit of air after opening.

Amazing! Not super-fine, but a vibrant and warming delight of funky garrigue with some luscious black fruit to go with it.

nice wine, has a very smooth candied licorice component, and drinks very juicy, though overall lacks somewhat in complexity.

Very deep red, almost black but tannins and balance were nice. Good wholesome wine. Very nice. Better on the first day.
