Needs more time, still quite sharp but lots going on. Was better the third day. Always try and drink the top BC wines at slightly less than room temperature

Travelled well since we bought this at the winery last year and schlepped it to south florida. We had Parred with Lamb .good choice. Medium body , rounded comforting on the pallet. Tasted great from first to last glass.

15.0% - Clear and slightly hazy on the rim, deep ruby / clean, med+ intensity, jammed blackberry, pepper, chocolate, some smoke / dry, med- acidity, full body, med+ tannin, med+ intensity, med length. This is a bit out of balance as it lacks acidity. Straight after pouring in tasting glass, this bottle was great on the nose with syrah typicity and pretty nice on the palate if it could have some more acidity (would range 86-88). However, I decided to decant it as this is a big one made in the new world style and it was quite powerful. But then as the wine got closer to room temperature (1st glass poured at +/- 15C) it completely shut down with only this heat from that high alcohol % which made it kind of flabby... Quite disappointing as I truly enjoyed the 1st glass and had high expections.

A dark ruby wine with a good aromas of dark cherry, white pepper and spice. The taste does not live up to the aromas. A dark cherry, spice, white pepper on a warm finish. This wine is ok but you expect more from a $35 wine.

A pleasure to drink and at its peak. Matched perfectly with duck breast this was juicy with ripe fruit & good length.

This wine was so hot from alcohol (15%) that it interfered with flavour. Not sure I'd try it again.

A little out of balance. Fruity (esp blaackberry) and lacking some acidity.

Aromas of blackberry, oak and spice. Blackberry, spice, smoke, vanilla on a long finish. A good syrah matched with pork chops.

Very good, bold, not too fruity, yet with some presence of cherry and earth tones. Would buy again

Richly fruited, sweet spice, madras curry, and toast nose. Warming and saturated with a firm structure and a good length, sweet-centred finish.
4/5

Three days in the Okanagan Valley; 6/18/2011-6/20/2011 (British Columbia, Canada): Big, with some alcohol noticeable. Like their Merlot, this too shows some marshmallows, but this time coupled with deeper dark berry flavors. Pretty large, but balanced. Some spice on the finish, with nice fruit lingering.
