Bouchard, Chidaine, Urbans-Hof, Veglio, Seven Stones, Alban, Keplinger (My home): Light silvery gold in color. The nose has some grapefruit and a bit of minerals. Clean. Medium bodied. Sweet and a bit flabby. I would have preferred more acidity on the palate. This is nice and easy to drink. A solid wine but I hoped for more. Not sure if this is more of a house style or vintage characteristic.

Light floral and honeysuckle nose. Very still mouthfeel. Immediately on opening, I found this wine to be sweeter than I like, with a honey and tropical fruit attack. However, when decanted or left to breathe, the wine matured and mellowed, with an underlying acidity coming into play.

Wine Festival Tasting Room, quick notes. Lots of gunpowder on the nose, along with some tart green apple and pear. Some tropical notes as well. Viscous on the slightly sweet palate, showing slate, petrol, pear, and red apple. Medium + finish, and well balanced. Good.

Oktoberfest: 2009 Germans (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): There is a lot of reduction on the nose here with sulfur overshadowing the notes of yellow and white fruits. The palate is sweet and concentrated with stone and tropical fruits supported by lifting acidity. The persistence is good and while this is young and reductive I think it will blossom with age. 91?

This wine’s aroma is very floral with tons of jasmine components, a coffee bean aroma, and a faint chemical quality. There is some trademark petrol, a bit of mixed tropical fruit, some bluestone, and a rich dose of kerosene on the spin. There are faint hints of berry and pink peppercorn lingering softly throughout, and I find this nose very inviting.
This wine is medium sweet with a very rich, oily quality. It’s almost somewhat buttery with a kerosene aroma and mouthfeel. I pick up on subtle bluestone, tropical fruits, cherimoya, and custard. There is a jasmine and tropical floral nectar component that lingers beautifully on the finish.
This is a very well made wine. It’s sweet and rich with nice complexity and clear and well defined minerality. Its creamy viscosity and its nicely balanced acidity make this wine a pleasure well worth the price and absolutely worth trying.

Clean, crisp and vibrant. Like biting into an apple as a pretty girl strolls by in NYC. Had to throw in NYC for the petrol smell.
