Aggressive floral perfume, lavender, roses, a little bit of spice and smoke. Incense like, but incense burning two rooms over, not over the top. Dark cherry, dense mouth feel. Tannins still need time to resolve, even after 3 hour decant. Really tasty, doesn’t taste as hot as it’s 15+%. A bit of savory herbalness to boot. Clearly new world with fruitiness, but the florals is really what sets this wine apart.

45 minute decant, this was rocking and drinking very well. Complex and intense and very much in balance. Dark fruits and leather, a bit of spicyness. Floral aromatics. Exactly what I’d want in a good modern cote rotie.

Flinty, lime, mineral, bright floral nose. Cirtus flowers, a little bit of underripe peach. Crisp, lean, savory. Lime peel on the palate. Good acidity, wonderful seafood wine. Had with garlicky Viet-Cajun seafood boil of shrimp and clams, perfection!
