I have to disagree with previous notes. The wine is a nice medium-bodied, fresh aglianico, with spicy, peppery notes filling a core of fresh - not jammy - raspberries. The acidity is there and the finish is nice and long. I think the lighter body throws off some people, but if you like tasty, everyday, food-friendly wines, this is a good buy!

I totally disagree with other people's rating. This wine is exceptional - it has bright cherry flavors accompanied by balsamic, resin-like notes. What is impressive is the intensity of the flavors - they linger in your mouths for a minute after you swallow. It might not be a full body, thick Barolo, but it is smooth, bright and very, very flavorful. I wish I had bought more bottles...

70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot. This wine is pretty dark color. The nose has distinct blackcurrant, redcurrant, raspberry and some herbal notes. These flavours come out very focused in the mouth. The wine is medium body, quite smooth for a sangiovese+sagrantino. Nice finish with dark chocolate notes. All in all, a very "authentic" and elegant wine. Still drinking good, and I guess its drinking window will last another couple of years.
