Dense, purplish red color with good legs. Nose: cedar and raspberries. Palate: cedar, smoked meat; silky, moderate tannins, good acidity. No sign of fading. Should be good for a few more years. Drank second half of bottle 1 day later: some funkiness on the nose; less fruit on the palate.

Brick-red color with no hints of brown along the rim. Long legs. Unfortunately, a corked bottle. Of the 7 bottles of this vintage that I have opened, 4 have been corked. Disappointing, to say the least.

Brick red. Leather, cedar, and a bit of pepper on the nose. Initially closed and with pronounced tannins. 30-45 minutes later, dark cherry flavors and slight sweetness on the palate. Has a few good years left.
