3/5/2021 2:14:00 PM - JEP007. Just want you to know that I'm a fan of Jerry Garcia too. In fact the profile photo you use is my favorite solo photo of Jerry. I tracked down the photographer, Tom Dunning, who took the photo when he was 21 years old and the photo editor for the University of Oklahoma student paper. It was the only time he ever saw the Dead perform and he says it was a wonderful experience. I purchased a copy of the photo from Tom Dunning and he will sign the bottom white frame of the photo, which I will then frame. Let me know if you want to get in contact with Tom Dunning and I'll provide you with his contact details. Rock on!

4/21/2019 4:06:00 AM - Thank you for your comment about the Calera Selleck 2012. For some reason I missed it when you sent it. Glad I caught up and will have to get back to the Selleck soon.

7/1/2018 10:46:00 PM - 2013 is a great vintage for the cellar, 2012 is probably as good but will drink on average 5 years earlier. Both should last a long time-even 50 years if properly cellared at 50 to 52 degrees. The corks will be the challenge starting around year 18. 2005, 2007, and 2014 Napa strike me as wonderful vintages. Bordeaux ages but not like it used to age, more fruit forward today and usually less and softer tannins than the old days. 2000, 2005, 2010 are great vintages for ageing. Remember that futures can be ordered in 375ml and magnum size to help determine ageing. I would urge you to attend the Union de Grand Cru tasting and Family Winemakers each year to expand your vintage knowledge. I recently enjoyed some 1985s and posted my TN as a Tasting Story. 100 point wines are few and far between for me. Mostly dessert wines or port. Finally, the taste of wine is for only your own palate and should be judged accordingly. TN help but I love Zinfandel and most people consider it a lesser grape. ENJOY!!!
