Magnum. Enjoyed at our agency's annual dinner and it sure was a hit. Tight on pnp, but 30 mins in the decanter did the trick, opened to a sweet confection of black/blue fruit with earthly and chocolate notes. I really love B Cellar's spin on the Doctor and sure wish I had more of this vintage.

Needed 1-2 hours to hit its stride after opening. Bottle says 14.9% alc but man, you blow into the glass and the alc fumes coming off it hitting your face makes your eyes water. I don't remember this happening with previous bottles. Thankfully after about 2 hours this is gone. Unmistakable B Cellars fruit and barrel profile emerges. Great acidity throughout. Needs the aforementioned time to really shine. Great blue/black fruit profile. Maybe not the glide and maybe a point less in score than a year ago, but still the WOTN to us this evening.......
No formal notes unfortunately.....this was the 5th bottle of the night and all 5 of us at the table found this to be the WOTN. Rich fruit, round tannins, drinking superbly right now for you Napa cab power junkies out there......I know what you're thinking, 5th bottle of wine for the night. But this was over some hours and it was obvious to all. Kinda like the other wines, while very good and in various ages were bronze and silver medals. This wine was the gold medal on the podium that night...and it wasn't by 1/100th of a second either, it was by, like a minute better than anything else in the race.
Simply Lovely. Of course you could continue to age this beauty--but why? It is drinking wonderfully right now. Tannins not overpowering - wonderful balance...so much fruit.

Same as previous notes. Last minute pull. PnP. Still a decent amount of baby fat here. Hold until after 2020++ minimum.
