Dark Garnet color with some orange around the rim. Really complex and aromatic nose that changes with each visit: truffle, earth, dark fruit compote, and even some herbaceous notes. There is still acidity on the front of the palate, and this transitions to dark fruit: plum, raisin, blackberry. On the back end, there is a creaminess and mocha, with soft and sweet tannins. Finish is long. It is beautiful right now, and probably has another 5-10 years, given the acidity and the tannins. This has evolved quite nicely.

This has evolved beautifully and is now spectacular. Intensely fragrant nose of violet , tar, black fruit and a touch of mushroom. Medium acidity and a beautiful palate of dark fruit, leather, rose petals and truffle. Transitioning to vanilla cream and firm but sweet tannins and a LONG finish. What an absolute joy to drink.

Acidity is high, lots of spice, white pepper, red fruit, pomegranate, licorice. Integrated tannins. Good wine, I appreciate it, but not my wheelhouse. Also not a good QPR for me.
