I didn’t want to like this. Since the Frey takeover I’ve been sceptical of the modern, polished style. However, although ripe and well made, I feel that given maybe 5 years or more this might actually start to show some complexity true to proper Rhône Syrah. Don’t get me wrong - it’s no ‘99, but my guard is dropping ..
Dark, ripe, mature, exotic St Emilion. Good drinking now. Doesn’t have ground breaking complexity and never will, but lovely stuff nonetheless. A great value estate that is worth seeking out.

Showing well. Dark, quite extracted, modern style.
This is at late mid maturity. Still fruit forward and oak fairly prominent. Just beginning to show some beautiful tertiary aromas which are very meaty and almost Northern Rhône like.
The lowish acidity levels will be what throws the balance off in a few years, and you may be left with a bit of a flabby old monster.
Most enjoyable if you’re in the market for a ripe oaky beast that’s got a bit of complexity from ageing.
