Mature, textbook DdC. Drinks in a subtle, and extremely refined manner. Reminded me a lot of a 1996 drank at about the same age. No flashy bits of fruit or oak here. Give this lots of time to unfurl in a decanter, our bottle lasted 3-4 hours but felt like it still may have had more to give. Certainly no rush to drink up bottles in the phase it is in now.

Holding on in a mature but still energetic phase, which it should for a while. The profile is very driven by earthy and mature notes in a silky profile with rounded mature tannin, with hints of fruit in the background. Was wishing for a bit more zip from the acids, but otherwise the complexity and balance were very textbook here. Consumed over 4 hours and the wine evolved very little - curious how a longer decant might have changed things one way or the other but regardless the wine drank well with food and will appeal to old world palates.

Still youthful! This bottle tasted a bit darker in tone than the last one but still firm, energetic and fresh. Everything has come together, drink up
