Not terrible, just not my preference. Very young and very grapey. It's a simple wine but would be good for parties and get-togethers where a simple and easy-drinking wine is all you need. Medium plus body, medium minus on tannins. Definitely better Cabs at this price point but this is a can that would do well with non-traditional Cab foods like something spicy, Thai food for instance.

WSET Level 2 Class; 9/13/2018-11/4/2018 (The Texas Wine School): Very good quality Port that is clear, deep ruby in color, bordering on garnet. On the nose, it's clean with a pronounced intensity. It has aromas and flavors of raisins, prunes, dried red cherry, strawberry pie, cinnamon, coffee, smoke, charred toasty oak, tobacco, and alcohol. On the palate, it's sweet with medium acidity, medium tannins, full body, and a long finish.
Definitely one of the better Ports I've had but I haven't had many. Definitely let this one breathe for about a 1-2 hours before you partake as the alcohol is a little intense on the nose before then. But once it's opened up, it's wonderfully complex with great length and intensity. It could still use another few years but still very very good!!

It has aromas and flavors of honey, nectarine, marmalade, dried apricots, dried apples, caramel, nutmeg, almond, walnut, and sweet spices. On the palate, it's sweet with high acidity, full body, and an extremely long finish.
At this point, this is the oldest wine I have ever had and it is absolutely incredible!! Super creamy smooth, wonderful balance and complexity, great length of honey and nuts... And while being sweet, it is not overbearingly so and the sugar is not what lingers...just the wonderful honey and nuts... My best rating so far!!
