Medium ruby. The nose is interesting; something earthy, but that’s not quite it. I’ve smelled it before in the Keys. Maybe sour or maraschino cherry. Medium bodied, medium tannins, medium to heavy acidity. Smoke and cherry on the front. Some floral notes. Spicy (black pepper) finish. Paired very nicely with pasta allá amatriciana. A jack of all trades of wine.

Deep purple. Earthy nose. Full bodied, medium to heavy tannins, medium acidity. Dark berries on the front: blackberries and raspberries. Good amount of bite and good age. Oak and cocoa on the finish. Overall lush and creamy. Very tasty.

Deep garnet. Strong nose. Ripe fruits, like cherry. Medium to heavy bodied, light tannins, light acidity. Oak on the front, leather, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, with a fruity finish. The nose is that of some of great wines I’ve had in the Keys, but there’s something missing in the palate. Past its prime.
