I had this last in April this year (2023) and posted a note here. This time it seemed more impressive to me and I didn't decant it - don't know whether that made any difference. Although lacking the special perfume of a great Hermitage (as I had hope it might be when I bought en primeur, and after reading the Parker review) it still has plenty of richness and depth in my opinion. Should be good for a few years on this showing.

A lot of comments here seem surprisingly sniffy to me. Had one of these this evening that was just as good as I expected from the previous 9 that I have had since buying a dozen in 2017. Colour very good, full nose, plenty of fruit. Sure, it's not an Hermitage but for its price it is honest and reliable in my opinion. I wonder whether many reviewers here have been drinking ones they bought from a shop rather than have kept themselves in controlled conditions - maybe that's the problem with so many apparently flawed bottles reported.

Classic and well made, if not exactly stunning, but that would have been well beyond expectations. Altogether very satisfying and should have a few years left in it.
