Cork came out easily, almost not soaked at all. Decanted and sat to breathe for about one three quarters to an hour.
The wine is clearly mature, almost no primary fruits left. Clear bricking. Aroma of leather, garrigue and fresh ground coffee. Very pleasant but needs food to go with it as the lush embrace of CnP fruits are gone with this age, but the acid and tannins are still present.
This seems to have developed more quickly than some other mature CnPs I've had. I don't have much experience with Vieux Télégraphe other than this vintage, so I cannot tell if it's normal, or due to poor storage.
This wine has a lot of both fine and coarse deposits, much more than I expected and almost Burgundy-like, so take care during decanting.

Cork soaked about a third through, came out cleanly and easily.
2.5 hour decant. Some fine sediment.
Fantastic wine! The wine is still very much alive and still showing fruits, albeit lean. Meaty, ferric tones and very clear olive notes. Lovely freshness and good integrated tannins. A very fine and rare treat indeed. Tertiary notes just coming into life. Almost no browning. This wine is now very much a food wine. Excellent with lamb stew.
Wish I had more bottles.

Extremely reductive and mercaptan nose, which did not blow over even after a 2h decant with agitation.
I must conclude that the bottle was somehow defective.
