Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R's): Double blind. Somewhat deep color, appears to have some age. Opens with a pleasant toasty quality, along with pear, florals and lemon curd. Full-bodied, with butterscotch, pear, wet stone and lemon. Long finish. I remarked to another taster that this is very Peter Michael-ish, and guessed 2010-2012.

Rich golden color Hazelnut and cantaloupe nose Lush heavy feel, with some heat Rich hazelnut and melon flavors Quite lovely, but clearly ready to start its decline. There is heat in the finish and worry this could drop off a cliff. Drink up very soon while it’s still so lush. Clearly not a wine for folks looking for restrained or subtle…
