This was opened on a petite sirah tasting night that brought out over 20 other PETs. This bottle was a 1.5L. Initially poured approx 500mL into a decanter, then recorked and set aside. The sweet spot for this wine was after about 30 minutes in the decanter. Fruit was integrated with the finely resolved tannin and there was still a fair amount of acidity to hold it together. Really enjoyed it. After 45 minutes to an hour the wine in the decanter had started to fall off. Back to the bottle and there was more fruit (much like 30 minutes in the decanter.
Poured off a 375ml split bottle and argon gassed, still have that bottle. The remnants in the magnum were also gassed and I have yet to revisit those. Will edit this note when I try those.
