Much more balanced than the last bottle and very enjoyable to drink but still don't think it separates itself enough from the standard chard to justify the extra $12-15.

Big really good Chardonnay but it is what you expect from Pride. Strong notes on the nose of wet stone and minerals, a thick buttery feel in the mouth and tastes of apricots and minerals on the palate. It ends with a long clean steely finish.

We weren't over-oaked as some other reviewers, but we were expecting more. Preferred the regular bottling vs. the Vintner's Select as there seemed to be more fruit. Started coming through a bit after a couple of hours but was still lacking. Not much of a price difference between the regular chard and this, but I would definitely go with the prior in the future.

Oak is still very prominent, but it has mellowed quite a bit. Maybe worth revisiting in a year or two.
