Open in the bottle for about four hours; it needs time but finally it’s coming around. Nose is a bit subdued, but there are typically Burgundian notes of ripe cherry, earth and mushrooms and savory herbs. Palate is bright with cranberry and a subtle strawberry, but is also brooding with hints of vanilla and dark fruits like plum skin and underripe blackberry. It’s nice now and paired well with a beef sausage and lentil dish, but probably would be really something if I had the patience to wait another 5-10 years.

bright and focused, mostly on the front of the palate. Soft in the mouth. Ready to drink.

Fresh pinot fruitiness. Good nose with licorice notes, currant notes, smoke, hints of almond, cherries.
Good palate, quite intens but relatively smooth. Fruit is somewhere between dark and freshly red.
