In great shape! The nose initially leaps from the glass to showcase dark blue fruits (e.g., blueberry, boysenberry) complicated by damp earth, cedar, graphite, and spice. With time, rosemary herb, cocoa, and hints of tobacco emerged as well. Incredibly suave and silky in the mouth, though large-scaled as well featuring flavors of dark fruit, blueberry pie, chocolate, and spice. It closed up a bit with 30-60 minutes of air, but open up again (especially on the palate) with 3+ hours of air. It was perhaps at its best right out of the gates. Clearly an impeccably made wine that's in great shape now. I'm not sure how much more complex or better it'll get, but there's no hurry either.

(Sheridan Vineyard L"Orage Cabernet Sauvignon) Hello friends. Scott Greer planted Sheridan Vineyard in 1997. That would have meant that the freak hailstorm that hit in 2001, decimating the vineyard, would have come at a seriously vulnerable time. Fourth or fifth leaf. Right when you’re supposed to start seeing some return on the sloooooooow-cash-flow investment. I’ve always loved that Scott took that incident and named his flagship wine after it. L’Orage. The Storm. See key for # of bottles currently available.

Superb. Everything is in balance after it breathed for about 1 hour in the glass. PnP it was not nearly as good. It needed that time to warm up.
