C- Light straw N- Medicinal, some citrus and floral notes T- Light-bodied, cotton candy and a slightly off putting flavor that was not easily identified though had herbal and floral characteristics. Very different from previous offerings from Tablas Creek.

pale yellow color. nose has an exotic iodine-like spice, so i agree with the saffron observed by others. palate matches nose, so it is a bit odd. i cant say it is easy but it seems solid and 'interesting.' i tried to decide whether this is a flaw like VA but it is not a band-aid smell. it also seems different from other vermentinos i have had...maybe a flaw maybe not. i would not want to drink more than a glass at atime and i am not looking forward to another tomorrow...mid 80s if not flawed

Really liked this one. I vaguely remember not really caring for it at a tasting a year ago or so. Now it's really shining. Difficult to describe as it's got elements of richness and high tones at the same time on both the nose and taste. Both floral and somehow baked (in a good way) on the nose. an interesting combination of mouth feel both lush and showing hardness and also acid. A long finish of green apple lingering.

Pulled this one too late. Still drinkable but on the downhill slide.
