We visited and enjoyed a most pleasant lunch at Gagliole several years ago. The owner has managed to employ an entire family from farm to kitchen to marketing. Impressive!
A most excellent Chianti Classico via a beautiful blend of Sangiovese 90% and Merlot 10%. Brownish, slightly purple, red on the eye. Vibrant, ripe red fruits with well-balanced toast on the nose. On the palate, the fruit works nicely with the full-mouthed, slightly rustic tannins. Fairly straight-forward, fresh fruity sip. Long, fruity, slightly tangy finish. We do not sip Chianti Classico very often, but very pleased with this drop!

Kings of Tuscan Wine (Wine World, Seattle, WA): Loaded with spice--cinnamon, clove--and darker fruit. A touch of pond water on the nose, initially. Medium body with more of a dried fruit/raisin component. Good length on the finish, ending with mouthwatering acids and drying tannins.

Pop and pour and drank for the next 2 hours. Predominantly plum and some raison after airing. A balanced, enjoyable wine.
