SLDS Decadence 2021: Half bottle, AP #09. Orange, spice, apple and pear. Lovely acid washes across the palate, finding a sweet balance and great length. Held together really well, still very youthful but delicious all the same.

SLDS October 2019: From a half bottle. Apple, orange, sugar, honey and pear. Textured, and fairly rich, but the cutting acid gives it lovely balance and stretches it out into excellent length. Obviously youthful but already incredibly tasty. More time will give it extra interest on top.

A melange of peach honey yellow fruits, pure precise perfect acidity, piercing long finish, wonderful stuff, had three bottles one left will leave as long as I can, difficult to keep my hands of this wine.

#09-11, 7.5% abv. From half bottle. A very lovely nose, with lots of sweet yellow fruits, as well as a good dose of tart pineapple. There's a hint of white grape and a touch of green herbs as well. The palate doesn't show particularly ripe or sweet, but there still is plenty of botrytis to go around. The crazy 2010 acids are on display here; this certainly has that very potent acid-driven character. Very, very delicious.

A private lunch (Restaurant Brogsitter *, Walporzheim, Germany): AP 9. Amazing intensity, yet so filigree and with such electrifying acidity, like a coiled spring, absolute purity and precision, peach, blackcurrant, slate, honey, creme anglaise, green apple, white almond; so delicious to drink now, how fascinating to follow its development over the coming 40-50 years (but, woefully, I don't have any in my cellar). Magnificent.
