Slight bricking around the edges. Rich, opulent nose of dark fruits. On the palate there was initially a bit of prunes/raisins, which faded away after 15 minutes in the glass. Very ripe, but in a good way. Excellent balance and weight. Ripe plums, black cherries, smoke. Keeps improving with air. Long finish. Fully mature but has at least another few years. Very impressive for the vintage.

Deeply colored, gorgeous nose of ripe, rich dark fruit. While the nose has some sweet rich tones, the palate has some savory offsetting tension and remarkable balance. Tannins are soft and melded, acidity is subtle but obvious in carrying a long finish. Jadot has been my star producer of this year as no one could control the hot ripeness of the vintage but some still made great wine.

I am inclined to say this bottle was cooked based on the nearly flavorless, disjointed palate but there was no external indication of that and other bottles from the same case have been fine. Nothing chemically flawed with it in the sense of being corked. Definitely not worthy of the appelation. The vintage is the obvious culprit but again other bottles have been fine. Disappointing either way.

Pretty ripe and extracted if I recall correctly. Nice wine but nothing spectacular.

Spectacular. Hints of cranberry, a lot of cherry and red berry. Open and vivacious - another 03 that transcended the sum of its parts
