  Initially quite bretty/barnyardy, with horse hair notes on the nose and palate; this character faded after the wine had been open for an hour or two, and there seemed to be some complexity and freshness behind it. Nose shows notes of spring onion and red fruit, especially strawberry. Palate initially shows a flavour of juicy strawberry alongside horse hair and saddle leather; behind that, there are notes of blueberry and paprika.

  Bouteille bue sur trois jours. Le premier jour, le vin déçoit un peu : tanins durs, acidité marquée, pas très savoureux. Mais plus il attend dans la carafe, plus il s'améliore : à son meilleur le troisième jour, même s'il manquait de puissance.

Il manque juste un peu de chair pour prétendre à être un grand vin, mais il a très bien évolué. La dernière bouteille est à boire d'ici deux ans.

  Le vin est à point : délicieux, avec des tannins fondus et intégrés, une matière fine mais bien présente. Pas un énorme parfum, mais un vin complet toutefois. Il donne ce qu'on en attend, pas plus, mais pas moins non plus.
