This is my favourite in La Morra and the top when you can have it aged. Decanted 3h (believe more longer the better, I have had Barolo opened the day before), the elements of fruits, tannins, acidity all are harmonious and gives you a feeling of sipping the wine more and more.Incredible. My top 3.

Birthday 2021 dinner made by Francine (Mont Tremblant): Medium(+) ruby-garnet, transparent slow legs @ 14.5% abv. Initially closed aromas of cherry, underbrush, wood notes and volatiles. Dry high acidity, taut medium(+) tannin, medium(+) body. Restrained and almost calvinistically tight upon 1st contact with bracing acidity, cherry, kirsch, meaty/savory notes interlaced with tightly knit chewy tannins. Yet, it all balances out beautifully. Will decant now and revisit in ~3 hr.
Spectacular development in the carafe, widened palate range of black cherry, blueberry, leather, licorice with perfectly balanced tannins and tempered acidity. Texture and weight increased leading to immensely long finish.
Change rating from 92 to 95. Wow, what an awesome experience! At least 10 year cellaring potential.

Took a good three hours in the decanter to develop what I describe.
Smell of cherry, plum, smoke, some spice and liquorice. Also surprisingly earthy and not the powerful fruit or floral nose I expected. Rich, concentrated and extremely sleek in the mouth. Once the substantial tannins subside the wine has a lovely weight and silky texture in the mouth. Very long smooth finish.
Better too young than too old but this wine could easily improve for another 10 years.

Phenomenal wine. Rich, opulent, sticks to the palate, hence giving a long finish. Complexed, and balanced. One to keep!

Lots of rich fruit on this one. From magnum. And powerful on the palate.
